This is the web site of the ‘Complex Materials by Computational Design’ group at the Institute of Materials Science and Department of Materials Science & Engineering, University of Connecticut, Storrs. The group is led by Prof. Serge Nakhmanson. We are studying materials, composites and nanostructures with advanced functional properties by utilizing computer simulations.

In the past 10 years, we have worked in the following areas of interest: dielectrics and ferroelectrics, thermoelectrics, electro- and elasto-optical materials, electroactive polymers, materials processing in additive manufacturing.
